Job summary

RELX Global Procurement in the Philippines seeks a senior procurement professional to lead Direct Spend initiatives focusing on Content Acquisition, Development and Operations. The role drives supplier negotiations, contract analyses and cross-functional collaboration to optimize cost and value.

The successful candidate will manage complex sourcing projects, develop cost-saving programs and ensure alignment with RELX strategic objectives across global business units.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Strategic Sourcing and Procurement.
• 3–5 years of procurement experience.
• Proficiency in Excel, Tableau, AI tools (Copilot, ChatGPT).
• Significant work experience and knowledge of supply chain procurement.
• Experience managing supplier relationships, supply chain, and business process improvement.
• General procurement expertise with strong analytical thinking.
• Strong negotiation and influencing skills; excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage and execute procurement strategies for Content Acquisition, Development and Operations.
• Develop spend management programs across data licensing, data sourcing and Content Operations.
• Initiate strategic partnerships and negotiate favorable terms with suppliers.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align spend and supplier value with RELX goals.
• Implement SRM programs and supplier performance measures.
• Identify and recommend process improvements to senior management.
• Provide strategic procurement support to RELX business units and subsidiaries.
• Ensure use of systems and tools; keep records updated in Propipeline database.
• Deliver training on procurement practices and policies to teams.
