Job summary

Baldo Construction and Development Corporation in Metro Manila is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee planning, execution, and delivery of major construction initiatives. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, define scope, and ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget.

The role requires a licensed civil engineer or equivalent with at least five years in construction management, strong knowledge of safety standards, and the ability to adapt to changing conditions

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or college degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture.
• Must be a Licensed Civil Engineer or Equivalent.
• Min. 5 years proven experience in construction management.
• In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles.
• Understanding of quality, health, and safety standards.
• Flexibility to adapt to changes and plan adequately to prepare for them.
• Continuously look for innovative strategies and methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Planning - determines what needs to be done, who is going to do it, and when it needs to be done.
• Managing Multiple Projects
• Define and clarify the project scope
• Understanding fully the contract
• Checking of contracts
• Checking of BOQ (materials specs & quantity)
• Checking of approved plans (FCD, bid plans, knows inclusion & exclusion)
• Ensures that Projects are completed within the set timeframes
• Develop the project plan: Site visits & survey, Gencon requirements, Permits requirements, Knows the key person (Owner, Gencon, Consultants), Accessibility of lifting and hoisting machines equipment, Location of TemFacil, warehouse, staging area, fabrication area, Safety requirements
• Develop the project schedule: Masters Schedule (Preparing Construction Schedule and making sure that site works are within approved work schedule), Resources of requirements, Materials delivery schedule, Manpower schedule, Equipment schedule
• Develop policies and procedures to support the achievement of the project objectives: Quality & quantity requirements, Management supports, Orientation of Staff & Workers, Training (if necessary)
• Develop Project Working Budget (Implementing Budget Planning): Implementing cost control, Project & material estimation, Project manpower estimation, Equipment estimation, Representation estimation, Projecting cash flow, Loading & delivery, Safety requirements, Office supply, Estimation of temporary facilities & utilities
• Key Organizing Duties
• Define the organizational structure of the project team
• Identify roles and positions
• Identify services to be provided by external companies or to the client
• Staff project positions
• Organizational Chart

• Coordinating activities across different organizational functions

• Assigning of work
• Prepare 1 month look ahead for schedule (Materials Ordering, Manpower Requisition, Installation, Finishing Goals)
• Proper Monitoring and documentation of Notification of EOT, Change Order, Duty Warn Letter, Incident Report, Weekly and Monthly cash report and other documentation needed for the project
• Monitoring of Billing Procedures and financial flow of the project
• Provide proper explanation to Site Team the Project Details
• Specification and BOQ, for better understanding of target work and accomplishment
• Maximizing the company’s ability to make profit (Including taking all efforts and chances of being able to claim additional costs)
• Processing of Billing, Change Order, Additional Order and ensuring the payments from the client are received on a timely manner
