Job summary

The Corporate Institute is seeking a Senior Hire – Commodity Derivatives to lead the long side of a commodity L/S strategy, with P&L accountability and a path to managing a full-scale fund. This is a front-office, independent role requiring a track record and self-starting mindset.

The ideal candidate will have 7–10 years in commodity derivatives (futures, options, spreads) across energy, metals, bullion or agri, and will articulate a robust trade rationale within a multi-asset portfolio.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years in commodity derivatives trading with verifiable track record.
• Experience across energy, bullion, metals or agriculture.
• Structured thinking and ability to articulate trade rationale.

Responsibilities

• Lead the long side of the commodity long/short strategy.
• Own idea generation, sizing, risk and outcomes with accountability.
• Scale from scratch toward a full-scale commodity L/S fund.
• Communicate clearly why a trade fits the portfolio.
