Job summary

Redstone Commodity Search is seeking a base metals and battery metals broker to join their LME forwards team. The role involves trading futures spreads, building institutional client relationships, and coordinating with operations to close deals.

Minimum 4+ years in commodity broking/trading with knowledge of LME/CME platforms is required; UK or Dubai location preferred, with global coverage for clients and hedging strategies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4+ years in commodity broking/trading, focused on base metals or battery metals.
• Deep knowledge of base and battery metals (copper, aluminium, cobalt, lithium, etc.) and their market drivers.
• Understanding of futures, forwards and swaps; familiarity with trading platforms like LME or CME.
• Ability to establish and grow relationships with institutional clients and traders.
• Based in United Kingdom and/or Dubai.

Responsibilities

• Trade futures spreads in base metals and battery metals, ensuring optimal execution while managing risk.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with institutional clients, offering tailored hedging advice and market insights.
• Identify and connect buyers and sellers of base and battery metal futures.
• Oversee end-to-end transaction processes, coordinating with operations, logistics, and finance.
• Report to the LME forwards team.
