Job summary

TP ICAP in the Philippines is seeking a Senior Cloud and Platform Engineer to shape our AWS-based cloud infrastructure and lead automation initiatives. You will mentor junior engineers and drive platform projects end-to-end.

Key duties include implementing IaC with CDK and Terraform, enabling DevSecOps with Gitlab and Nexus, and collaborating across teams to integrate AI features while ensuring security and governance.

Qualifications

• Extensive AWS expertise with cloud automation, security best practices and cost optimisation.
• Proficiency in programming and problem solving with custom automation experience.
• Strong experience with Python, Go and powershell.
• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD and containerization (EKS, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Hands-on CDK and Terraform for infrastructure automation.
• Familiarity with Bedrock, TensorFlow and PyTorch for AI solutions.
• Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (Grafana, CloudWatch, Prometheus, ELK).
• Familiarity with security/compliance in cloud environments.
• Excellent problem-solving and leadership abilities; mentoring capability.
• Ability to communicate complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Platform Engineering in AWS: design, implement, and optimize AWS-based solutions.
• Automation & IaC: develop and maintain infrastructure automation with CDK and Terraform.
• DevSecOps enablement: build scalable, repeatable solutions; use Gitlab and Nexus; scripting in Python/Go/Powershell.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions.
• Research cloud/distributed systems and AI technologies.
• Project leadership: own cloud projects, ensure secure delivery and governance.
• Technical strategy & governance: advise on architectures and toolsets.
• Escalation & troubleshooting: guide teams on complex issues.
• Mentorship: share knowledge and promote continuous improvement.
