Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in network engineering with cloud focus.

• Experience with IaC and scripting (Python, PowerShell).

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Network Architecture

• Design, deploy, and manage cloud-based network solutions on platforms such as Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Develop network architecture plans and strategies to support the organization’s cloud initiatives and business objectives.
• Implement best practices for network segmentation, routing, and traffic optimization in a cloud environment.

Network Security in the Cloud

• Implement robust security controls and measures to protect cloud-based network resources and data from unauthorized access, breaches, and cyber threats.
• Configure and manage network security groups, access control lists (ACLs), and encryption protocols to enforce data privacy and compliance requirements.
• Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and implement remediation strategies.

Cloud Networking Services

• Configure and manage cloud networking services, such as virtual private clouds (VPCs), subnets, load balancers, and content delivery networks (CDNs).
• Optimize network performance and reliability by leveraging cloud-native services and features, such as auto-scaling, traffic routing, and global load balancing.
• Implement hybrid cloud connectivity solutions, including VPNs, direct connections, and inter-region peering.

Automation and Orchestration

• Develop automation scripts and templates using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation to streamline network provisioning, configuration, and deployment processes.
• Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) practices to enable scalable and repeatable deployments of cloud network resources.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate network automation into continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

Performance Monitoring and Optimization

• Monitor cloud network performance metrics and analyze traffic patterns to identify areas for optimization and improvement.
• Implement monitoring and alerting mechanisms to proactively detect and respond to network anomalies, performance degradation, and security incidents.
• Conduct capacity planning and scaling activities to ensure the scalability and elasticity of cloud network resources.

Education And Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or any related field. Advanced degree or certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, CCNP Cloud, Azure Solutions Architect) are a plus.
• 6+ years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on cloud networking and infrastructure.
• In-depth knowledge of cloud networking concepts and technologies, including VPCs, subnets, routing tables, security groups, and load balancers.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, or GCP, including proficiency in cloud networking services and features.
• Strong understanding of network security principles, protocols, and best practices in a cloud environment.
• Experience with network automation and orchestration tools, infrastructure as code (IaC) practices, and scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex cloud network issues.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work closely with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders.
