Global IT Services is responsible for providing resilient, secure, scalable and highly available technology services that support the organization and its business operations.
We are looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer with strong Microsoft 365 platform engineering capabilities, combined with expertise in identity, automation, architecture and emerging AI technologies.
This is not primarily a ticket-driven administration or support role. The individual should be comfortable engaging directly with technical teams, business stakeholders and senior management and should be capable of operating without requiring detailed work assignments.
Automation and AI are important elements of the role. The ideal candidate will have implemented meaningful automation in real enterprise environments and will understand how technologies such as Microsoft Copilot, OpenAI and AI agents can be applied to improve Microsoft 365 operations, reliability and user experience.

- Continuously identify processes that can be simplified, redesigned or automated.
AI, Copilot and Agentic Automation
- Evaluate how AI can be practically applied to Microsoft 365 platform engineering and operations.
- Identify and implement use cases involving Microsoft Copilot, OpenAI and related Microsoft AI technologies.
- Develop, integrate or contribute to AI agents that improve infrastructure operations, platform management or engineering productivity.
- Work with business and technology teams requesting AI-enabled capabilities and assess how these requirements can be implemented within the existing enterprise environment.
- Understand the technical, identity, security and architectural implications of introducing AI capabilities into the Microsoft ecosystem.
- Remain current with Microsoft 365, Copilot, AI and automation developments and identify capabilities that can provide practical value to the organization.
Reliability Engineering
- Apply a Site Reliability Engineering mindset to Microsoft 365 and supporting infrastructure.
- Engineer platforms and services for reliability, resilience, repeatability and scalability.
- Proactively identify potential availability, performance, security and operational risks.
- Improve monitoring and automated remediation capabilities to prevent incidents wherever possible.
- Participate hands‑on in resolving complex platform and infrastructure issues where engineering intervention is required.
- Identify recurring incidents and address the underlying engineering or architectural causes.

- Clearly communicate technical options, trade‑offs and recommendations to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Provide technical guidance for new initiatives, deployments, automation and AI‑related requirements.
Project and Initiative Ownership
- Take end‑to‑end ownership of significant Microsoft 365 and infrastructure initiatives.
- Proactively identify improvement opportunities rather than waiting for work to be assigned.
- Define problems, develop solutions, engage the appropriate stakeholders and drive initiatives through completion.
- Own or contribute to architecture, design, planning, implementation, testing and operational transition.
- Coordinate with project management, infrastructure, security, application and business teams as required.
- Manage technical risks, dependencies, estimates and implementation plans.
- Contribute to project budgeting and planning where required.
