Job summary

Rimes is seeking a Senior Infrastructure & Cloud Engineer to lead hybrid cloud projects across Azure and on-prem environments. This role requires hands-on cloud and virtualization expertise, strong architectural judgment, and the ability to guide complex initiatives.

You will collaborate with development and data teams to deliver scalable, secure platform services, manage incident responses, and document progress in Jira and Tempo. This is a hybrid role with office days in Manila.

Qualifications

Strong experience with hybrid cloud environments (cloud and on-prem).
Hands-on Azure infrastructure services expertise.
Experience migrating workloads to Azure-native data platforms.
Understanding of Azure data services underpinning data pipelines.
VMware virtualization and enterprise infrastructure proficiency.
Windows Server proficiency with core services.
Experience using Infrastructure as Code.
Leadership in technical projects and architectural decisions.
Experience supporting SQL environments and data platforms.
Familiarity with AI-assisted operations tooling (AI-driven monitoring).

Responsibilities

Act as technical lead for infrastructure and cloud projects, owning delivery end-to-end.
Drive architectural decisions to ensure scalable, secure solutions.
Build, configure, and maintain infrastructure on Azure and on-premises.
Support and optimise VMware-based platforms including compute and storage.
Lead incident response and root-cause analysis.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable platform services.
Maintain progress visibility in Jira and Tempo.
