Job summary

Rimes is seeking a Senior Infrastructure & Cloud Engineer to join its Technology Organization in Manila. You will lead infrastructure projects, shape cloud strategy, and ensure secure, scalable services for customers and internal users.

You will work in a hybrid model (2 days in office) and collaborate with development and data teams, manage on‑prem and Azure environments, and guide IaC and automation efforts.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering hybrid cloud and on-prem infrastructure.
• Hands-on Azure core infra services and data platform workloads.
• VMware virtualization and enterprise infrastructure expertise.
• Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Ansible.
• Proven project leadership and architectural decision making.
• Experience with SQL environments and data pipelines.

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Infrastructure & Cloud Engineer to join our global Technology team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established firm with a global presence and significant growth potential.

Responsibilities:

• Act as technical lead for infrastructure and cloud projects, owning delivery from planning through to implementation
• Drive architectural decision-making within the infrastructure team, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned to best practices
• Build, configure, and maintain infrastructure across Microsoft Azure and on-premise environments
• Support and optimise VMware-based platforms, including compute, storage, and associated services
• Lead incident response for complex issues, acting as an escalation point and driving root cause analysis
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (development, data) to deliver reliable and high-performing platform services
• Accurately track and update work in Jira and Tempo, ensuring visibility of progress, discovered work, and blockers

Requirements:

• Strong experience supporting hybrid infrastructure environments (cloud and on-premise)
• Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure, including core infrastructure services
• Experience supporting or migrating workloads to Azure-native data platforms
• Understanding of Azure data services and how infrastructure underpins data engineering pipelines (e.g. networking, identity, storage, compute provisioning)
• In-depth experience of VMware virtualisation and enterprise infrastructure platforms
• Strong understanding of Windows Server and core services
• Experience using Infrastructure as Code
• Proven experience leading technical projects and leading architectural decisions
• Proven experience supporting SQL environments and data platform infrastructure
• Familiarity with AI-assisted operations tooling (e.g. AIOps platforms, Copilot, AI-driven monitoring and alerting).
• Familiarity with automation tools (e.g. Terraform, Ansible)
• AWS exposure
• Relevant certifications (Azure, VMware, Networking)

Work Model:

hybrid approach, 2 days per week in our office, hours 5am - 2pm
