Rimes seeks a Senior Infrastructure & Cloud Engineer to lead cloud and on‑prem infrastructure efforts across Azure and VMware. You will own delivery from planning through implementation, partnering with cross‑functional teams to ensure scalable, secure platforms.

Qualifications

• Experienced in managing hybrid infrastructure (cloud and on‑prem) environments.
• Hands‑on with Microsoft Azure core infrastructure services.
• Experience migrating workloads to Azure native data platforms and understanding data services.
• Proficient in underpining data engineering pipelines (networking, storage, compute provisioning).
• Deep knowledge of VMware virtualization and enterprise infrastructure platforms.
• Strong background with Windows Server and core services.
• Infrastructure as Code experience using tools like Terraform/Ansible.
• Proven track record leading technical projects and architecture decisions.
• Experience supporting SQL environments and data platform infrastructure.
• Familiarity with AI‑assisted operations tooling (AIOps).

Responsibilities

• Act as technical lead for infrastructure and cloud projects from planning to implementation.
• Drive architectural decisions to ensure scalable and secure solutions.
• Build, configure, and maintain Azure and on‑premise infrastructure.
• Support and optimize VMware platforms across compute and storage.
• Lead incident response and drive root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with development and data teams to deliver reliable services.
• Track work in Jira and Tempo to maintain visibility.
