Job summary

LevelBlue is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to join our cloud team, focusing on infrastructure automation, reliability, and secure deployment practices. You will collaborate with Development, QA, and Operations to standardize service building, testing, and release processes.

The role requires hands-on experience with AWS, Terraform, Packer, Puppet, Linux, scripting, GitHub Actions, and container orchestration. We value security, automation, and scalable architectures.

Qualifications

• 4+ years hands-on experience operating AWS-native services at scale (EC2, IAM, S3).
• Proven Terraform provisioning experience with modules, state, and promotion.
• Experience building machine images with Packer for secure baseline builds.
• Puppet in Linux environments for idempotent configuration management.
• Production administration of Ubuntu and other enterprise Linux distros.
• Scripting in Bash and/or Python for automation tasks beyond IaC.
• Experience with Git repositories and GitHub Actions for CI/CD.
• Docker-based infra with service discovery, meshes, and schedulers (Kubernetes/ECS).
• Knowledge of least-privilege, secrets management, and secure deployment patterns.

Responsibilities

• Implement cloud-native architecture best practices and automate deployment through IaC.
• Evolve development guidelines for faster service delivery and reliable releases.
• Design and maintain immutable infrastructure using Terraform, Packer, Puppet across AWS environments.
• Enhance DevOps tooling for configuration, build, test, and self-service release processes.
• Manage automated code deployment and version control workflows.
• Collaborate with Dev, QA, and Ops to document requirements for production platforms.
• Evaluate new build/deploy technologies and cloud-native development practices.
