Job summary

John Clements Consultants, Inc. seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to own critical systems across their full lifecycle within a highly regulated environment. You will bridge cloud engineering, DevOps/GitOps, software engineering, test automation, validation, and IT operations.

You will collaborate with SMEs, validation managers, product owners, developers, IT teams, vendors, and auditors to shape and improve our cloud and technology landscape, ensuring security, reliability, and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT/CS/Engineering with 3+ years in IT systems or cloud roles.
• Hands-on experience with containerized environments and cloud platforms.
• Experience with GxP-relevant IT systems a plus.
• Strong understanding of ITIL processes and security/compliance concepts.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage systems through their full lifecycle, including maintenance and decommissioning.
• Drive cloud and platform operations for reliability, scalability, and readiness.
• Coordinate backup, DR testing, monitoring, logging, and BC requirements.
• Ensure compliance with security, governance, and access management standards.
• Lead incident, problem, change, release, and service management activities.
• Support CI/CD, GitOps, IaC, and automation across cloud and container environments.
• Monitor health with AWS native and third-party observability tools like Dynatrace.
• Coordinate migrations, modernization, and retirement aligned with roadmaps.
