Job summary

LCH Operations in Manila is seeking a Senior Associate, Clearing Operations, Night Shift. Manila is a new location launched in 2024 to support our growing business, joining London, New York, Sydney and Singapore.

The Clearing Operations team handles daily operational processes for SwapClear, collateral management, and front-office investment activities, primarily reverse repos, with opportunities to rotate across asset classes and gain deep product knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
• Experience in an operations role within financial services or FMI environment.
• Knowledge of collateral/OTC derivatives and/or central clearing processes.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Detail oriented with excellent numerical/analytical skills.
• Ability to understand technical complexity of clearing processes.
• Risk and control mindset.
• Willingness to learn product knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Investigates and resolves trade registration exceptions.
• Performs event management, margin runs, backloading cycles and start-of-day batch activities.
• Completes post-trade lifecycle events such as Give Ups, Portfolio Transfers and compression services.
• Liaises with partners to resolve member/client/trade source and exchange queries.
• Proactively monitors environments and works with IT to resolve issues.
• Participates in ad-hoc testing and quality gate exercises.
• Daily use of Synapse, ALC, Murex, MNP and Clearview.
• Understand default management processes for clearing services and participate in fire drill exercises.
• Work with operational teams in other locations to share knowledge.
• Manage workload independently and ensure procedures are followed and updated.
• Produce daily, weekly and ad-hoc MIS for internal and external interested parties.
• Participate in Internal Audit reviews as needed.
• Identify self-development areas and act on feedback.
