Job summary

WSP in Manila seeks a senior Civil Design leader to oversee design, development, and production of Civil Design Services across the project lifecycle. You will lead QA/QC on technical delivery and ensure compliance with regional and national regulations, collaborating with Australian counterparts and global teams.

The role requires extensive experience, chartership, and a proven track record in managing large multi-project portfolios with a strong emphasis on safety, innovation, and value

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Science, or Equivalent.
• Master’s or PhD is a plus.
• Professional Chartership/registration within jurisdiction.
• Typically, 15+ years’ experience.
• Extensive experience with local & international standards, esp. Australian Code.
• Led large teams to deliver sustainable outcomes.
• Expert in technical discipline with broad project experience.
• Able to prepare and review complex technical information and explore new tech.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate engineering and BIM resources across projects.
• Lead quality checking of designs, drawings, and deliverables.
• Oversee projects from conception to completion, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Provide input to man-hour estimates, cost tracking, and proposals.
• Build relationships with stakeholders across Australia offices and global business.
• Support recruitment, promotions, and performance appraisals for region staff.
• Contribute to strategic planning and regional growth initiatives.
• Represent the business with lead countries and industry bodies.
