Bostik Philippines, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Buyer to join our logistics team in Taytay, Rizal. The role focuses on ensuring continuous supply of local and imported raw materials and packaging, negotiating best pricing and terms, and coordinating inbound/outbound activities.

Ideal candidates have 5–10 years in procurement, importation, and inventory control within manufacturing, plus strong Excel and SAP/WMS proficiency for cost management and vendor relations.

Qualifications

• Requires 5–10 years in procurement, importation, and inventory control in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience in cost analysis and vendor management.
• Knowledge of import/export documentation and relevant regulations.
• Familiarity with Lean principles or CI initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Ensure continuous supply of local and imported raw materials and packaging.
• Identify cost savings opportunities; negotiate competitive prices and payment terms.
• Coordinate inbound/outbound requirements with intercompany and forwarders; monitor shipments.
• Prepare and review shipping documents; secure tax credits or licenses when needed.

Are you a skilled, safety-conscious professional with warehouse experience? Bostik Philippines is looking for a Sr. Buyerto join our dynamic logistics team.

Work Location: Taytay, Rizal

Key Responsibilities

Trade & Non-Trade Transaction Imported & Local

Stock Cover/Delivery- ensure continuous supply of local and imported raw materials and packaging.

Cost Savings

Monitors monthly raw materials and packaging materials price index and cost savings

Prepare cost sheet for estimated raw materials, packaging and finished product cost

Works with procurement manager in identifying strategies for cost savings activities

Continually look for competitive suppliers and/or develop existing supplier to improve purchasing power.

Negotiate for the best and competitive price & longer payment terms

Importation or local delivery

Coordinates with counterparts in Bostik Intercompanies for inbound and outbound requirements of raw materials and finished goods

Continually look for competitive forwarders for our ex-works, FOB transaction via & air freight

Monitor imported shipments from time to time

Documentation

To ensure that all PO’s are accurate in product specifications, terms, and condition

Accurate & timely sending PO’s to supplier

Review & examine shipping documents before sending them to Bureau of Customs, banks, brokers & forwarders

Review/examine & prepare payment for final duties

Inform all departments concerned (Sales, Marketing, Receiving, QA, Production) with regards to deliveries of imported raw materials, packaging & finished products

Prepares and secure tax credit or tax refund to the Bureau of Customs, if necessary, prepares and secure renewal of License to the Bureau of Customs

Local Transaction

Handles & canvass immediate requirements and/or major raw materials & packaging requirements

Coordinates with QA Department for clarification and correctness of item descriptions and specifications of items being purchased

Works with regional in sourcing potential suppliers for raw materials, packaging, and non-trade requirements for derisking or cost savings initiatives

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Proficiency in MS Excel and logistics systems (SAP, WMS).

• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

• Effective communication and coordination skills.

• High attention to detail.

• Experience in manufacturing or distribution environments.

• Knowledge of cost analysis and vendor management.

• Exposure to Lean principles or continuous improvement initiatives.

Experience

• At least 5-10 years work experience in procurement, importation, and inventory control, planning in a manufacturing industry

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
