Job summary

Colliers International Philippines, Inc. is seeking an experienced Building Engineer to oversee electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and fire protection systems in a high-rise environment. You will implement preventive maintenance and manage the operation of complex building equipment.

You will lead emergency response activities, supervise staff and contractors, and develop crisis plans. Strong leadership and knowledge of safety regulations are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related course.
• Licensed Engineer preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in building engineering or property management, preferably in a condominium or high-rise building.
• Experience in emergency response, crisis management, and emergency preparedness.
• Knowledge of building systems, fire safety, preventive maintenance, and applicable regulations.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee building electrical, mechanical, plumbing, air-conditioning, and fire protection systems.
• Implement preventive maintenance and ensure proper operation of building equipment.
• Lead emergency response activities involving fire, earthquakes, power failures, flooding, and equipment breakdowns.
• Supervise engineering staff, maintenance personnel, and contractors.
• Conduct regular inspections and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Develop and implement emergency preparedness plans and evacuation procedures.
• Organize fire drills, earthquake drills, and emergency response training.
• Ensure emergency equipment and life-safety systems are operational.
• Coordinate with the Property Manager, security team, BFP, and other emergency responders.
• Prepare maintenance reports, incident reports, and engineering budgets.
