Job summary

OptiNizers in the Philippines is seeking a Senior-Level Bookkeeper for independent contractor work, with options for full-time or part-time engagement. The role demands accurate day-to-day accounting, organized financial records, and timely reporting for clients or internal stakeholders.

You will maintain books, run reconciliations, prepare financial reports, handle payables and receivables, assist with month-end close, and support payroll entries when needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting support experience, preferably with senior-level responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles, reconciliations, financial statements, and month-end close processes.
• Experience using QuickBooks Online, Xero, or similar platforms.
• Experience with Karbon.
• Clear written and verbal communication with high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate books, including recording transactions, categorizing expenses, and reconciling accounts.
• Manage bank, credit card, and loan reconciliations on a regular schedule.
• Prepare and review financial reports such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow summaries.
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable support, including invoices, bills, and payment tracking.
• Review bookkeeping entries for accuracy and flag inconsistencies or missing documentation.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing tasks.
• Coordinate with clients, vendors, accountants, or internal teams to request documents and clarify transactions.
• Maintain organized financial files and ensure records are complete and easy to audit.
• Support payroll-related entries and reporting when required.
• Recommend process improvements to make bookkeeping workflows more efficient and reliable.
