Job summary

Black & White Engineering is seeking a Senior BMS Engineer to lead the design and delivery of Building Management Systems for complex projects. You will design, integrate, and validate BMS solutions across access control, security, fire alarm, and IT networks, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

The role requires 7–10 years of BMS experience, strong stakeholder communication, and mentoring junior engineers, with a focus on sustainable and low-carbon building performance.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of experience in Building Management Systems (BMS) design.
• Experience with BMS integration: access control, security, fire alarm, and IT networks.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and building services systems.
• Familiarity with industry standards, codes, and certifications in building automation.
• Understanding of sustainable design and low-carbon technologies.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare BMS design documents, drawings, specifications, calculations, and reports.
• Attend client, internal, and external meetings to support project delivery.
• Conduct site inspections, witnessing activities, and assist during commissioning and handover.
• Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, ICT, and ELV teams for integrated designs.
• Present work-in-progress designs and technical proposals at milestones.
• Review contractor submittals, operation and maintenance manuals, and other project documentation.
• Drive continuous improvement and innovation in BMS solutions.
• Support junior engineers through technical guidance.
