Job summary

Pleased Technologies OPC is hiring for a senior backend engineer to design and build scalable microservices, APIs, and data-heavy applications. You will collaborate with product teams, participate in code reviews, and support production systems in a fast-paced, dev-first environment in the Philippines.

On-site in Taguig with modern tooling and strong emphasis on code quality. You will work with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and cloud-native stacks, delivering reliable services while mentoring peers

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3+ Years within a relevant role.
• Preferred experience in Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Data and iBATIS.
• Strong experience with highly-scalable web backends.
• Experience designing highly transactional systems.
• Advanced proficiency in Object Oriented Design (OOD).
• Advanced proficiency in non-functional software qualities such as resiliency and maintainability.
• Deep understanding of Microservices and REST APIs.

Responsibilities

• Develop highly-scalable backends for thousands of users.
• Collaborate with Product Owners to identify features and user stories for new or revised applications.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure alignment with the original user story and architecture patterns.
• Respond to production support calls for quick diagnosis and repair.
• Participate in all team ceremonies including planning, grooming, demos and retrospectives.
• Mentor less experienced team members; support on-call as needed.
