Job summary

Phoenix One Knowledge Solutions, Inc. in Makati seeks a Senior Backend Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable Java 8/17 applications within a Spring ecosystem. You will optimize PostgreSQL databases and ensure reliable RESTful services across microservices architecture.

Responsibilities include building robust APIs, collaborating on architecture, tuning performance, and mentoring junior developers in a Linux/Tomcat environment; Docker experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Proficient in Java 8/17 and Spring ecosystem.
• Experience with REST API development and Hibernate/JPA.
• Strong PostgreSQL knowledge including indexing and query tuning.
• Experience in Linux and Tomcat; Docker is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java 8/17 applications using Spring.
• Build robust RESTful APIs with Spring Boot.
• Collaborate with teams to define architecture and specifications.
• Maintain and optimize PostgreSQL schemas, procedures, and queries.
• Analyze performance, tune queries, and optimize indexing.
• Manage deployment and server configurations on Linux-based systems.
• Mentor junior developers through code reviews and guidance.
• Contribute to microservices architecture and containerization strategy.
