Job summary

JioStar is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to lead design and development of core ad tech systems in Bangalore. You will own large-scale backend projects end-to-end, shaping architecture, and mentoring peers in a high-throughput, low-latency environment.

You will collaborate with Product, Data Science, and cross-functional teams to translate business needs into scalable tech solutions, driving fault tolerance and performance tuning.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science or a related field with 4–7 years of backend development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java, Go, or Python and in-depth knowledge of distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable, resilient microservices powering JioStar’s ad tech stack.
• Own end-to-end delivery of complex backend projects from design to deployment and monitoring.
• Write high-quality, maintainable code with rigorous testing and fault tolerance.
• Drive architectural decisions and influence long-term engineering strategy for the team.
• Collaborate with Product, Data Scientists, and cross-functional teams to translate business needs into tech solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and technical deep dives.
