Job summary

White Cloak Technologies, Inc. is seeking a backend engineer to craft scalable microservice architectures and enhance backend systems. You will collaborate with PMs and stakeholders to refine feature requirements, refactor codebases for performance, and design security controls.

You will lead technical projects, contribute to incident response, build system observability, and ensure delivery alignment, while following company policies and pursuing ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• Experience in strongly typed languages (Go or Java).
• Hands-on experience with relational and non-relational databases (PostgreSQL, Redis, Spanner).
• Proficiency with message brokers such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Proven experience in developing well-architected APIs and microservices.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Clear understanding of the distinction between coding and software engineering.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects and manage deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Craft well-architected microservice architectures for scalable backend systems.
