Maya Bank is seeking a Senior Back-end Software Engineer for Risk Tech (Fraud & AML). You own backend projects from planning to production, design reliable services, and collaborate with frontend, platform, and Risk teams to ensure quality delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a relevant field.
• 6–10+ years building large-scale backend services or platforms.
• Strong experience with Java and/or Python on AWS.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Proven ability to design, build, and use RESTful APIs at scale.
• Comfortable with automated testing and code review habits.
• Experience with Git-based workflows and CI/CD.
• Experience with containers (Docker) and cloud deployments.
• Plus: Fraud, AML, or Risk experience; frontend collaboration is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own backend projects from planning to production and upkeep.
• Turn product and risk needs into technical designs and delivery plans.
• Build scalable, secure APIs/services and reusable components.
• Lead code reviews and participate in releases; mentor juniors.
• Collaborate across teams to resolve technical dependencies and align on architecture.
