Job summary

Globe Telecom, Inc. is seeking a Backend Software Engineer to design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain reliable backend services, APIs, integrations, and supporting components.

You will work with Node.js, NestJS, Python, Go, Java, and other technologies in a cloud-native, AI-driven environment. Responsibilities include building RESTful APIs, pipelines, and integrations, collaborating with product and QA teams, and following engineering standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Professional experience in software development with a strong focus on backend engineering.
• Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals.
• Experience developing backend applications, APIs, and system integrations.
• Experience with backend languages/frameworks such as Node.js/NestJS, Python, Go, Java, or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL).
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative software development workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services, APIs, integrations, and components.
• Build RESTful APIs and service-to-service integrations.
• Work with relational and non-relational databases.
• Implement validation, authentication, authorization, error handling, and logging.
• Collaborate with frontend teams on API contracts and integrations.
• Develop cloud-native applications and manage deployments on cloud platforms.
