Job summary

Bridgit is hiring a backend engineer to own the backend end-to-end, from design through deployment. You’ll shape system architecture, drive infrastructure initiatives on AWS, and work with onshore/offshore teams to deliver high-impact features.

The role requires 5+ years as a backend developer, 2+ years with Node.js, and strong experience in TypeScript and AWS. Hybrid work with some office days and international collaboration are offered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a backend developer.
• 2+ years with Node.js.
• Commercial experience with Node.js, TypeScript and AWS Infrastructure.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and AWS services (S3, RDS, ECS, Lambda).
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Own Bridgit's backend day to day and guide engineering decisions.
• Lead infrastructure work, including AWS CDK and deployments.
• Collaborate across onshore/offshore teams; support rapid, secure delivery.
