Job summary

Quantrics is hiring a Senior Backend Developer - Java for a remote, work-from-home role (Philippines). You will design and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using Java 21, Spring Framework 5/6, and Spring Boot 3/4.

The position emphasizes event-driven processing with Apache Kafka and cloud deployments on OpenShift and GCP. You will implement secure software development lifecycle practices, write unit and integration tests, and participate in Agile ceremonies.

Qualifications

• University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
• At least several years of backend Java development experience.
• Experience with Spring Framework 5/6 and Spring Boot 3/4.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Familiarity with TMF OpenAPI standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain backend services and APIs using Java 21, Spring Framework 5/6, and Spring Boot 3/4.
• Design, implement, and document RESTful APIs with reliable integration.
• Build event-driven solutions using Apache Kafka, Kafka Streams, and Kafka Connect.
• Deploy in cloud-native environments using Docker/OpenShift and GCP.
• Implement SSDLC, automated tests, and Agile practices.
