Job summary

Caldwell Communications is seeking an experienced Java Developer to build scalable enterprise applications and modern backend solutions in a hybrid Manila-area setup. You will design secure RESTful APIs, develop and test components, and collaborate with Agile teams to deliver reliable software aligned with business needs.

You will work with Java 17+, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, and AWS cloud services, spending time in code reviews, CI/CD, and continuous improvement within a supportive,

Qualifications

• Proficient in Java 17+ with Spring Boot and Gradle.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Strong database experience with PostgreSQL and JPA/Hibernate.
• Experience deploying to AWS and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Proficient in unit testing with JUnit 5 and Mockito.
• Familiarity with Agile development processes and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using Java 17+, Spring Boot, and Gradle.
• Build and enhance secure RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Develop database-driven applications using PostgreSQL and JPA/Hibernate.
• Deploy and maintain applications in AWS Cloud using Kubernetes (EKS).
• Develop automated unit tests using JUnit 5 and Mockito to ensure software quality.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, and Engineering teams throughout the SDLC.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
