Job summary

Axos Clearing LLC is seeking a Senior Azure Security Engineer to architect and strengthen the security of our Microsoft Azure environments. You will lead Defender for Cloud, Sentinel configurations, and identity governance while guiding risk assessments and secure cloud design.

You will collaborate with DevSecOps to embed security into CI/CD pipelines and deliver executive reporting on security KPIs and risk posture. Strong regulatory knowledge is required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of information security experience, with 4+ years focused on Azure cloud security in regulated industry.
• Strong understanding of PCI-DSS, SOX, GLBA, FFIEC, NIST CSF.
• Proficiency in scripting/automation: PowerShell, Python, Bicep/ARM, Terraform.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Azure security architectures aligned with regulatory requirements.
• Lead Defender for Cloud configuration, policy management, and continuous monitoring.
• Own Azure AD/Entra ID security posture: PIM, MFA, CA, identity governance.
• Architect and enforce Azure Policy/Blueprints/Management Groups for least-privilege deployments.
• Lead Azure Sentinel SIEM/SOAR implementation, develop rules and playbooks.
• Secure network design: NSGs, Azure Firewall, Private Endpoints, hub-spoke architectures.
• Perform threat modeling, risk assessments for new workloads.
• Manage secrets and certificates with Azure Key Vault; ensure HSM integration.
• Lead incident response and remediation in cloud security incidents.
• Collaborate with DevSecOps to embed security in CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
• Produce exec-level reporting on cloud security KPIs and risk posture.
