Job summary

Axos Clearing LLC is seeking a Cloud and AI Security Engineer to develop and implement security for AI/ML platforms, LLM-powered applications, and cloud infrastructure. You will address AI-specific threats, design guardrails, and drive governance across Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud.

Responsibilities include threat modeling, RAG security, and collaboration with red teams to test security controls while ensuring regulatory alignment and data privacy compliance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of information security experience including hands-on cloud security (AWS, Azure or GCP).
• Solid understanding of AI/ML concepts: model training pipelines, LLMs, embeddings, vector DBs, RAG, and AI agents.
• Familiarity with AI security threat frameworks: MITRE ATLAS, OWASP LLM Top 10, NIST AI RMF.
• Proficiency in Python; experience with ML libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face, LangChain) is a strong plus.
• Experience securing APIs, containerized workloads, and microservices in cloud environments.
• Understanding of data privacy requirements in the context of AI training data (GDPR, CCPA).
• Strong written communication skills to translate AI security risks for non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive AI/ML security framework covering the full model lifecycle: data ingestion, training, deployment, inference, and retirement.
• Assess and mitigate AI-specific threats: prompt injection, jailbreaking, adversarial attacks, model inversion, data poisoning, and training data exfiltration.
• Lead security reviews of LLM integrations (Azure OpenAI, Google Vertex AI, Anthropic Claude) and enforce guardrails.
• Implement and govern RAG security: data access controls, context injection risks, and output monitoring.
• Design security controls for AI agent architectures—managing tool use, autonomy boundaries, and escalation paths.
• Develop cloud security baselines across AWS, Azure, and/or GCP to protect AI/ML workloads.
