Job summary
APW Tech is seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to design scalable data platforms and cloud-based solutions. You will work with Azure, Databricks, and microservices to deliver robust data pipelines and integrations across SharePoint Online and Excel sources.
The role emphasizes strong Python/TypeScript development, SQL mastery with PostgreSQL, and collaboration with senior leaders in a global environment. Certifications in Azure or DevOps are a plus.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Platform Engineering, or Software Engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Terraform (IaC).
- Proven expertise in Databricks, Python, PySpark, and modern data warehouse solutions.
- Experience developing microservices using Python or TypeScript.
- Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and enterprise data integrations, including SharePoint Online and Excel-based data sources.
- Familiarity with Power BI, DAX, REST APIs, Agile methodologies, Scrum, and Kanban is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and engage effectively with senior leaders in a global environment.
- Relevant certifications in Azure, Databricks, DevOps, Scrum, or Secure Coding are an advantage.
