Job summary

Full Scale is seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Architect to own a multi-account AWS platform, Terraform/OpenTofu modules, and the ETL/data pipeline layer for a US client in automotive retail. This hands-on architect role requires deep technical leadership and practical implementation.

You'll mentor engineers, define reference architectures, manage cost and security, and ensure IaC quality across environments. Fully remote in the Philippines with a culture of ownership and engineering excellence.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in cloud engineering with at least 4 years on AWS.
• Expert-level Terraform or OpenTofu for multi-account patterns.
• Demonstrated multi-account AWS design experience.
• Hands-on ETL/data engineering using AWS Glue, Spark, Step Functions, Python.
• Experience designing data lakes/lakehouses with governance.
• Deep serverless experience with Lambda, API Gateway, EventBridge, SQS/SNS, Aurora Serverless.
• Strong SQL and relational data modeling with performance tuning.
• Security architecture knowledge across IAM, KMS, network segmentation.
• Ability to write clear technical design documents.

Responsibilities

• Own multi-account AWS Organization design and governance.
• Design network architecture for multi-region, multi-tenant growth.
• Define reference architectures and maintain architecture docs.
• Lead the EKS adoption path and container strategies.
• Own AWS Well-Architected reviews and cost architecture.
• Own Terraform/OpenTofu codebase end-to-end.
• Enforce IaC quality with policy-as-code and drift detection.
• Mentor engineers on IaC patterns.
• Own lakehouse architecture including S3 zones and Glue Data Catalog.
• Design and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines from multiple data sources.
• Own data quality, schema evolution, and data retention policy.
• Support PCI scoping decisions on payment path.
