Job summary

Full Scale is seeking an AWS Cloud Architect to lead a multi-account AWS platform for a US-based client. This remote, hands-on role covers Terraform/OpenTofu, data lakehouse governance, ETL pipelines with Glue and Databricks, and cross-team collaboration with DevOps and Data Science.

You will design secure network topology, enforce IaC quality, and drive cost architecture while mentoring engineers. Fully remote in the Philippines with senior-level ownership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in cloud engineering with focus on AWS architecture.
• Expert-level Terraform or OpenTofu module authorship and multi-account patterns.
• Demonstrated multi-account AWS design experience (Organizations, Control Tower, SCPs, Transit Gateway).
• Strong hands-on ETL/data engineering with AWS Glue, Spark, Step Functions, and Python.
• Experience designing data lakes/lakehouses with governance using Lake Formation or similar.
• Deep serverless experience with Lambda, API Gateway, EventBridge, SQS/SNS, and Aurora Serverless.

Responsibilities

• Own multi-account AWS Organization design and SSO controls.
• Design and secure network architecture for multi-region, multi-tenant growth.
• Lead EKS adoption path including Fargate vs node groups and IRSA.
• Own AWS Well-Architected reviews and remediation efforts.
• Define reference architectures and maintain architecture documentation.
• Build/maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, and Databricks.
• Own data lakehouse governance, cataloging, and data retention policies.
• Advance data quality, lineage, and alerting for data feeds.
