Job summary

Satellite Office is seeking a DevOps Engineer for a fully remote role. You will design and maintain scalable AWS infrastructure using Terraform, optimize CI/CD pipelines, and ensure reliable, secure cloud environments.

The role emphasizes collaboration with software teams and strong automation practices. Ideal candidates have 3–5+ years in DevOps/SRE, hands-on AWS experience (EC2/ECS/EKS, IAM), and proficiency with monitoring and security best practices.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years in a DevOps, Cloud, or SRE role.
• Hands-on with AWS services (EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, S3, CloudWatch, RDS, Route 53).
• Proven experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, Jenkins).
• Strong Terraform for Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience with Docker and containerisation.
• Strong Linux system administration knowledge.
• Git for source control.
• Knowledge of cloud networking, security, and identity management.
• Experience monitoring cloud environments (CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog).
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable AWS infrastructure with Terraform.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.
• Manage Infrastructure as Code for repeatable environments.
• Monitor performance, availability, and security across cloud environments.
• Collaborate with software engineers to improve deployment processes.
• Implement infrastructure automation and configuration management best practices.
• Support containerised workloads and orchestration platforms where applicable.
• Troubleshoot issues across dev and prod environments.
• Manage cloud networking, IAM policies, security groups, and access controls.
• Contribute to disaster recovery and high-availability strategies.
• Maintain infrastructure documentation and standards.
