Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking a Senior Software Programmer (SME) to lead technical direction in process automation and instrumentation. You will guide architectures, ensure integration of DCS/PLC/SCADA/SIS, and mentor teams across lifecycle stages from design to commissioning.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration with customers, EPCs, and system integrators, plus continuous improvement in automation technologies and cybersecurity practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field is required with Master’s degree preferred.
• 8–15+ years of experience in process automation instrumentation and control industrial systems.
• Strong knowledge of DCS/PLC/SCADA/SIS and field instrumentation with cybersecurity considerations.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for Process Automation and Instrumentation solutions across project lifecycle.
• Develop and review automation architectures, control philosophies, and instrument design packages.
• Review P&IDs, control narratives, loop diagrams, and instrument indexes; support FAT/SAT, commissioning and startup.
