Job summary

Integrated OS invites applications for a Senior Auditor to lead multiple audit engagements and supervise assigned teams under the Engagement Manager. The Senior Auditor ensures work aligns with the Findex Audit Methodology and relevant regulatory requirements.

They will participate in special assignments, support Managers/Partners, and maintain up-to-date technical knowledge while coaching team members and delivering high-quality audit results.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CA, CPA, CISA, or equivalent is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively communicate with clients and understand their business needs.
  • Plan audit engagements by identifying risks, setting timetables, and allocating staff.
  • Ensure clearance of Manager and Partner review points in a timely manner.
  • Ensure audit files comply with the Findex Audit Methodology and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to develop team capability and performance.
  • Review team work to ensure adherence to auditing standards and quality.

What you'll do:

The Senior Auditor is the primary point of contact and responsible for the control of multiple audit engagements. They supervise, and assist assigned engagement teams on all aspects of an audit engagement for review by the Engagement Manager. They may also assist the Managers / Partners (and/or others) in the performance of special assignments and reports when required. The Senior Auditor must ensure work is completed in line with the Findex Audit Methodology together with relevant industry legislation and regulations.

Key responsibilities for this role include:
Clients
  • Proactively communicate with clients, developing a detailed understanding of their business to determine how Findex can best meet their needs
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with existing clients and contacts
Operations & Compliance
  • Plan out audit engagements by identifying risks to determine the audit strategy, agreeing the timetable, scheduling employees and negotiating fees
  • Ensure satisfactory clearance of all Manager and Partner review points in a timely manner
  • Ensure jobs are completed effectively by meeting deadlines, keeping within budget and informing the Engagement Manager and Partners of any variances to budget
  • Ensure all audit files are completed in line with the Findex Audit Methodology
  • Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge to ensure compliance with all statutory and relevant regulatory requirements
Business Growth
  • Look for opportunities to add value to existing client's scope of work within the firm
  • Participate in industry and business activities external to the firm raising the Findex profile and attracting clients to the business
People Leadership
  • Provide coaching and support to develop capability among team members
  • Delegate work to team members and sets clear goals for completion
  • Review work of team members to ensure correct auditing accounting standards are appliedProvide positive leadership to team members by leading by example
Successful candidate must have:
  • Relevant Qualification: Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CA, CPA, CISA, or equivalent is desirable.
  • Audit Experience: Proven experience in audit and assurance to an AU/NZIndustry, with strong knowledge of established processes and procedures.

  • Communication: Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Organisation: Strong time management, attention to detail, and ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
