Job summary

Penbrothers, a leading HR and remote talent partner, is sourcing a Senior Accountant (AU) to support an Australian accounting firm from Manila. You will work directly with Directors and Managers to prepare tax returns, financial statements, and BAS for individuals, partnerships, companies, trusts and SMSFs. Remote setup; 9 AM–5:30 PM AEST.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of Australian accounting experience, IFRS knowledge, and proficiency in Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, XPM and BGL. CPA preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA certification (preferred).
• 3–5 years of experience in Australian accounting and taxation.
• Experience in IFRS and Australian taxation.
• Experience with Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, XPM and BGL software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare tax returns, financial statements, and BAS for various entity types.
• Liaise with Managers to ensure timely delivery of services.
• Enter and collate data for financial reports using Xero and other software.
• Maintain compliance with Australian accounting standards and tax rules.
• Track jobs and respond to client queries efficiently.
• Assist with process improvements and document control.
