Job summary

D&V Philippines is seeking a Senior Accountant to handle day-to-day accounting for the client and related entities, owning part of monthly close and preparing for year-end audit. This hands-on role requires experience with month-end, year-end, and GST in Australia, plus strong Xero and AI tool usage. Hybrid work, 7:00 a.m.

to 4:00 p.m., Monday‑Friday, with focus on accuracy and proactive communication. You will work across receivables, payables, general ledger, and process improvements,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or equivalent.
• CPA or studying toward CPA is a plus.
• 3-5 years of Australian accounting experience.
• Experience with month-end close with ownership.
• Year-end and external audit experience.
• Australian GST experience strongly preferred.
• Solid Xero experience and use of ApprovalMax.
• Excel and Google Sheets proficiency (lookups, pivots, SUMIFS).
• Experience with AI tools (Claude is a plus).
• Strong written English and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Own a defined part of the month-end close and deliver on time.
• Manage receivables, payables, accruals, and prepayments for your area.
• Prepare bank reconciliations and year-end working papers.
• Assist with audits and respond to auditor questions.
• Use AI to speed up routine work while ensuring accuracy.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance

CPA or studying toward CPA

Australian accounting experience
