AVENSYS CONSULTING INC. seeks a Senior Associate / Lead in Equities Operations to manage trade management, settlement processing, and reporting across the firm’s trading activities.

You will coordinate with onshore counterparts, custodians, brokers, and administrators to ensure accurate and timely processing. Deep understanding of trade life cycle and settlement processes, plus knowledge of capital markets and reconciliation, is essential.

Qualifikationen

• At least 3 years of experience as an Associate.
• Knowledge of Capital Markets, Reconciliation and General Fund Accounting Principles.
• Basic instrument knowledge in security types (Equities, Fixed Income and Derivatives).
• Understanding of Trade Life Cycle and Settlement process.

Aufgaben

• Communicate with onshore counterparts, custodians, brokers, and administrators to query, escape and resolve issues.
• Support cross-training and daily tasks from other Middle Office teams.
• Identify opportunities for process efficiencies through streamlining and automation.
• Perform proper handoffs offshore and onshore.
• Ensure timely updates and completeness of process documentation.
• Take on additional responsibilities as the group expands.
• Address all failed trades through monitoring and follow-up.
• Investigate and resolve daily trade settlement issues, breaks and mismatches for Equities and Swaps.
• Manage and respond to email inquiries related to pre-matching, failing trades, and trade discrepancies.
• Monitor REPOs, IRS, CDS and ICE trades for issues and breaks.

About the role

Senior Associate / Lead, Equities Operations (Trade Management) supporting the various trading, investment, and reporting activities of the firm. Trading Operations oversees the full breadth of firm wide trade settlements by leveraging scalable, straight through processes to ensure a seamless transition of a trade through its complete lifecycle from trade matching and reconciliation to allocation and delivery and finally, funding and settlement.

Key responsibilities

• Properly communicate with onshore counterparts, custodians, brokers, and administrators to query, escape and resolve issues pertaining to the processes and deliverables assigned
• Expand skills and knowledge through cross-training and support daily tasks from other teams within Middle Office space
• Identify opportunities for process efficiencies through streamlining and automation projects by collaborating with other team members
• Perform the standard procedure of a proper handoff, both offshore and onshore
• Ensure timely update and completeness of process documentation
• Take on additional responsibilities as the group expands
• Ensure that all failed trades are addressed through proper monitoring
• Investigate and resolve daily trade settlement issues, breaks and mismatch for Equities and Swaps
• Manage and respond to all email inquiries related to pre-matching, failing trades, trade discrepancies (Pre and Post settlements)
• Monitor REPOs, IRS, CDS and ICE trades for any issues and breaks

About you

• At least 3 years of experience as an Associate
• Knowledge or exposure to Capital Markets, Reconciliation and General Fund Accounting Principles
• Basic instrument knowledge in security types (Equities, Fixed Income and Derivatives)
