Job summary

Capgemini is seeking an Android App Engineer to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver features, ensure seamless user experiences, and optimize performance across diverse Android devices and OS versions.

You will work with Kotlin and Java, design and maintain apps using the Android SDK, and contribute to testing and code quality, with a focus on scalable, secure mobile experiences and published apps on Google Play.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java with hands-on Android development experience.
• Experience with Android Studio IDE and the Android SDK.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience and a track record of published apps on Google Play.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Android applications for a public-facing app
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to optimize user experience
• Design, build, and maintain advanced applications for Android using Kotlin, Java, and Android SDK
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code with unit/integration tests
• Integrate third-party APIs, services, and libraries to enhance functionality
• Ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards
• Troubleshoot and debug issues to maintain app reliability
