Job summary

Willis Towers Watson Philippines is seeking a Senior Analyst for Retirement Actuarial Consulting to support plan valuations, design, and review. You may contribute to insurance, health, and other risk projects requiring actuarial input.

Key responsibilities include data preparation, valuation work, benchmark analyses, and report drafting for local and international standards. A strong client service mindset and Excel proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience conducting core valuation work in a client-service environment with large corporate defined benefit plans; defined contribution plan experience a plus.
• Proven experience managing multiple projects within prescribed project guidelines.
• Strong client relationship, interpersonal, and team skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to ask the right questions and seek help where appropriate.
• Excellent MS Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide data preparation, validation, and reconciliation for retirement valuations.
• Perform actuarial valuation of retirement plans using standard valuation software.
• Develop benefit projections, and conduct plan design, benchmarking, and costing.
• Prepare actuarial valuation reports for local and international standards and client summaries.
• Assist in presentation of results to clients and internal teams.

The Role

As aSenior Analyst Retirement Actuarial Consulting, you will support the delivery of quality Retirement solutions covering plan valuations, design & review including plan conversions, and other retirement benefit services. You may also get involved in insurance, health, and other risk projects requiring actuarial support.

Performance Objectives:

Excellence:

• Provide technical assistance to the Consultant/Senior Consultant in the following areas:
  • Data preparation, validation & reconciliation
  • Assumption setting
  • Actuarial valuation of retirement plans, including the use of WTW standard valuation software.
  • Analysis of valuation results
  • Plan benchmarking, design, and costing
  • Retirement plan set-up, review, and harmonization
  • Benefit projections and individual benefit calculations
  • Other projects requiring actuarial skills (other employee benefits, insurance, HMO, etc.)
• Prepare the following reports:
  • Actuarial valuation reports for local funding and accounting standards (local and international) purposes
  • Comparative plan summaries upon request of clients
  • Drafting of plan rules
  • Presentation and sales materials
• Assists the Consultant/Senior Consultant in the presentation of results.
• May act as the lead and client’s main contact person within WTW.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or other related fields
• Significant actuarial exam progress toward AASP/ASA credentials
• Background in accounting, finance, investment, and economics
