Job summary

Phoenix One Knowledge Solutions, Inc. in Metro Manila is seeking a Senior Developer to join the IT team. You will develop software with Agile/Waterfall methods, build and support web services/APIs, and ensure code quality through testing.

Collaborate with architects, business partners, and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions deployed on Azure. Strong .NET, front-end, and SQL skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on software development with .NET and web services.
• Strong .NET concepts including multi-threading, generics, serialization.
• Experience building/consuming Web Services and Web APIs (WSDL, SOAP, REST).
• AuthN/AuthZ for Web APIs; deployment to Azure or other clouds.
• Azure deployment, GitHub Actions to Azure App Services/AKS.
• Strong SQL Server with high-performance T-SQL queries.
• Front-end skills: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, React JS.
• SDLC expertise; proficient with Visual Studio and VS Code.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and AI-assisted productivity.

GENERAL FUNCTION

The Sr Developer is a member of the IT team developing software solutions in support of strategic business objectives. The Sr Developer works to develop software with a diverse team utilizing Agile and Waterfall development methodologies. The Sr. Developer is responsible for specific development tasks using best practices, analytical skills, creating detail designs from requirements, building solutions from design, for specific technologies and validating solutions through manual and automated unit testing.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs coding, testing and debugging and responsible for overall solution design quality.
• Responsible for key system design and integration decisions; and for communicating decisions to individuals implementing the system
• Works with business partners, architects, and other groups to identify technical and functional needs of system and priority
• Manages standard system processes and enhancements to system, ensures that solution design adheres to industry software design best practices
• Works with requirements team and business partners to understand the scope of work, priorities, and requirements for development
• Works with project teams to deliver new capabilities in business applications and / or remediate issues
• Contributes to defining timetables and project plans
• Analyzes and estimates feasibility, cost , time, and compatibility with existing systems
• Ensures that required application performance levels are achieved

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on software development experience using .NET technologies, with a strong focus on building and supporting web services.
• Strong expertise in core .NET concepts, including Multi-threading, Generics, Serialization, and Thread Pools.
• Extensive experience in developing and consuming Web Services and Web APIs, including related technologies and frameworks such as WSDL, SOAP, REST, SOAP UI, and client generation for web service consumption.
• In-depth experience implementing authentication and authorization mechanisms for Web APIs.
• Experience deploying and managing APIs and .NET applications in Microsoft Azure or other cloud platforms.
• Experience deploying .NET applications using GitHub Actions to Azure App Services and Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS).
• Strong expertise working with RDBMS technologies, particularly Microsoft SQL Server, including the ability to design efficient database structures and write high-performing T-SQL queries.
• Strong front-end development experience using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, and React JS, with expertise in cross-browser compatibility and responsive web design.
• Solid understanding and hands-on experience across all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience using modern development tools, including Visual Studio and Visual Studio Code (VS Code).
• Strong technical foundation with exceptional attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Strong communicator who can clearly articulate technical concepts, collaborate with stakeholders, and contribute meaningfully to team discussions.
• Proven track record of effectively leveraging AI to improve productivity, software development workflows, technical problem-solving, and delivery outcomes.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience working with docker containerization or other container orchestration technology, streaming solutions like Kafka and cloud integration
• Experience in healthcare / insurance industry
• Experience using monitoring tools like Datadog, Azure App Insights, and log files to evaluate the health of mission critical production applications and to identify root causes for performance and functional issues
• Works well under high pressure / critical situations
• Flexibility to work non-business hours to meet critical business needs
