Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking an Airline Field Service Engineer to serve as the on-site technical representative for our customers, embedded at airline operator sites and GE hubs. You will lead maintenance, inspection, and repair activities for jet engine product lines, traveling as needed to support fleets and enable reliable on-wing performance.

The ideal candidate has strong engineering experience in airline operations or propulsion, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to work

Qualifications

• Bachelor's of Engineering or equivalent technical degree; or high school diploma with at least 4 years of full time work in airline operations, powerplant, maintenance planning, engineering or propulsion.
• Minimum 4 years of full-time experience in airline operations, powerplant or maintenance planning, engineering, aviation propulsion, or related field.
• Experience with data analytics or software to support technical decisions is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead programs and provide technical direction for on-site operation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of assigned jet engine product lines.
• Deliver prompt, effective solutions that address customer issues and exceed expectations, driving loyalty and partnerships.
• Track reliability and on-wing performance, including significant events, engine removals, delays, and cancellations; influence airlines to implement reliability improvements.
• Influence long-term maintenance planning to ensure fleet stability.
• Interpret OEM manuals and technical documentation to support maintenance activities.
• Review maintenance actions to identify training and improvement opportunities.
• Apply FLIGHT DECK principles to deliver continuous improvement in reliability enhancements.
• Produce data analytics and timely reports on fleet status, program updates, events, and trends for stakeholders.
• Provide proactive maintenance recommendations based on engine performance analytics.
