Job summary

EROAD Philippines Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Java, AI-Native) to strengthen backend engineering from the Manila office. You’ll own complex backend systems, design, build and operate services, and guide AI coding agents to ensure robust production.

Ideal candidate has strong Java, cloud-native experience (AWS), microservices, RESTful APIs, CI/CD, Docker and mentoring. You’ll work four days on-site in Manila (Mon-Thu) with a WFH Friday and participate in on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• Strong Java experience in production backend systems.
• Experience with AI-native development and AI coding tools.
• Familiar with microservices, event-driven architectures and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with CI/CD, Docker, and cloud-native stacks.

Responsibilities

• Own production health with monitoring and observability.
• Design, build and operate complex backend services.
• Mentor others and lift team quality through code reviews.
• Participate in on-call rotation and CI/CD processes.
