Job summary

HKR Equipment Corporation is seeking a senior accounting leader to drive the accounting function, ensure timely, accurate reporting, and strengthen internal controls. You will work with cross-functional teams, auditors, and management reporting teams to deliver compliant financial statements.

The role requires 5–7 years in accounting, CPA preferred, and strong month-end closing, GAAP/Philippine standards knowledge, and ERP proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or Accounting; CPA preferred.
• 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably with supervisory or senior-level experience.
• Strong experience in month-end/quarter-end closing, general ledger, account reconciliation, and financial reporting.
• Good knowledge of Philippine accounting standards and financial reporting requirements.
• Experience in external audit, tax compliance, and internal controls.
• Knowledge or experience in J-SOX/SOX, ERP systems, and process improvement is an advantage.
• Proficient in MS Excel and accounting/ERP systems; NetSuite experience is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop an accounting team.
• High level of integrity, accountability, attention to detail, and ownership of deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead and review month--end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of accounting records, reconciliations and supporting schedules.
• Review financial information and support timely management and group reporting.
• Monitor accounting variances and outstanding items and timely resolution.
• Maintain and strengthen accounting controls and J-SOX requirements.
• Coordinate with external auditors and provide complete and timely audit schedules and support documents.
• Comply with tax and regulatory requirements in coordination with the Finance team.
• Identify and implement process improvements, standardization, and digitalization initiatives.
• Coordinate effectively with Finance, Revenue & Inventory, Operations, IT and other process owners.
• Lead, Coach and develop accounting team.
