Job summary

AboitizPower is seeking an Accounting Sr. Specialist to maintain accurate financial records, prepare management reports, and ensure regulatory compliance.

You will perform manual journal vouchers, reconciliations, and closing procedures, collaborating with the Finance group in Cebu City. This senior role requires a BS Accountancy or Management Accounting and at least 3 years of accounting/financial reporting experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in BS Accountancy or Management Accounting.
• At least 3 years of experience in the field of Accounting / Financial Reporting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare manual journal vouchers for accruals, provisions, deferrals, reversals, reclassifications, and adjustments with supporting documents.
• Examine, review, and reconcile transactions against book records; submit reconciliation reports with proposed adjusting entries.
• Coordinate with departments to resolve discrepancies and propose corrective measures.
• Perform closing procedures based on Oracle processes and company policies.
• Monitor affiliate balances and ensure proper recording and timely billings.
• Prepare and submit requirements for internal and regulatory audits.
• Prepare Annual Audited Financial Statements and GIS submissions to SEC.
• Prepare monthly management reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) and variance analysis.
• Generate management reports and presentations for EXCOM and Board meetings.
• Prepare financial projections for budgeting, strategic planning, and debt sizing.
