Job summary

Forvis Mazars in the Philippines seeks an AOS Senior to provide end-to-end accounting support for a diverse client portfolio. You will help ensure accurate financial reporting, assist in managing finance functions, and support regulatory compliance.

You will collaborate with a dynamic team to deliver high-quality services, mentor junior staff, and drive efficient accounting processes using Xero or Sage 50, with a focus on standards such as GAAP, VAT and local regulations.

Qualifications

• CPA required and relevant accounting credentials.
• 2+ years of experience in senior accounts/ accounting roles.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy; able to manage multiple engagements.
• Excellent time management and deadline-driven.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with GAAP, IFRS, US GAAP and VAT developments.

Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to client deadlines through planning and scheduling of client projects.
• Manage a diverse portfolio of clients and oversee accounting workflows.
• Prepare management accounts, VAT returns (inc VAT, VIES, Intrastat), statutory financial statements and reconciliations.
• Oversee billing, budgeting, and timely invoice preparation.
• Drive high-quality service delivery within timeframes and budget.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with external stakeholders, including auditors, during year-end processes.
• Mentor junior team members and foster a collaborative team environment.
