Job summary

IAN SMART ENERGY CORP in Quezon City is seeking a Senior Accounting professional to lead financial accounting activities and ensure timely, accurate reporting. The role focuses on financial statements, month-end close, VAT reconciliations, and internal control compliance to support management decisions and stakeholder communications.

The ideal candidate will have 5–7 years of relevant experience, CPA/CMA credentials (preferred), strong Excel skills, and proven leadership in a finance team.

Qualifications

• Professional accounting qualification is a plus but not required.
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in financial accounting and reporting.
• General Ledger and VAT recon and validation experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Excel for analysis and reporting.
• Experience leading and mentoring accounting teams.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and reviewing financial statements in accordance with standards and regulations.
• Managing month-end and year-end closing processes including reconciliations and journal entries.
• Overseeing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions for timely processing.
• Supervising junior accounting staff and providing guidance on policies and procedures.
• Ensuring compliance with financial reporting regulations and internal controls.
• Analysing financial data and identifying area for cost optimisation.
• Preparing financial reports and schedules for management and stakeholders.
• Maintaining accurate general ledger records and documentation.
• Assisting with external audits and addressing findings.
• Supporting development and implementation of accounting controls.
