Job summary

Aprio, a nationally ranked CPA and advisory firm, is seeking a Senior Accounting Associate to join its Outsourcing team in the Philippines. The role centers on reviewing weekly work, processing bills, and supporting client onboarding with XERO, QBO, NetSuite, and BILL.

The position requires 3+ years in accounting, a CPA license (advantageous), and strong communication and leadership skills. It offers a hybrid setup and growth opportunities within a fast-growing firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting required.
• CPA license advantageous.
• Minimum 3 years experience (preferably BPO).
• Experience with XERO, QBO, NetSuite, BILL.
• Experience managing E-commerce clients preferred.
• Exceptional communication skills for hybrid teamwork and client interaction.
• Leadership experience mentoring staff and managing client relationships.
• Strong problem-solving abilities for technical and interpersonal challenges.
• Ability to handle multiple clients in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Reviews the correctness and completeness of the weekly work, including bills processing and bank transaction coding, and monthly work prepared by the Associate Accountant.
• Ensures all weekly and monthly responsibilities of the Associate accountant are being done diligently.
• Performs initial and/or final review of monthly and/or quarterly management reports.
• Provide Accounting and Technical support to Accounting Associate(s); train or guide the Accounting Associate(s) where needed.
• Handles new and complicated tasks, client onboarding, clean up and catch-up work, seasonal tasks (e.g., 1099 and audit support), and creation or maintenance of accounting work papers.
• Preparation of process documents and works with the Manager on process improvements.
• Attend to Manager/Project Manager/Client’s questions, concerns, or issues.
• Work with the Manager on people management – team’s capacity, performance evaluation, staff concerns, interviews for new hire, employee onboarding, etc.
• In the absence of the Associate, Senior Accounting Associate assumes the responsibility of the Associate.
• In the absence of the Manager, can perform as the leader of the team.
