Job summary

Aprio is seeking a Senior Accounting Associate for its Client Accounting Services - Technology CAS Team in the Philippines. You will review client bookkeeping and crypto transactions, plus payroll and month-end activities, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.

The role requires 3+ years in BPO, a CPA advantage, and hybrid work flexibility. Experience with Xero and QBO is essential, with strong communication and leadership capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in the BPO industry.
• Experience using payroll software, XERO and QBO.
• Strong understanding of cryptocurrency or blockchain technology.
• CPA license is an advantage.
• Able to lead, communicate clearly and effectively.
• Amenable to a hybrid work arrangement.
• Open to a dayshift schedule with flexibility to accommodate other shifts when needed.

Responsibilities

• Review day-to-day bookkeeping tasks for assigned clients.
• Understand cryptocurrency transactions including buying, selling, swaps, and wrapping in a crypto accounting software.
• Reconcile wallets to on-chain balances monthly for accuracy.
• Review processing of bills/receipts paid in fiat and cryptocurrency via third-party applications (e.g., Bill.com, Ramp, Brex, Dext).
• Review monthly amortization of prepaid expenses and depreciation of client assets.
• Review payroll journal entries from payroll software or manual entries.
• During month-end, review reconciliations, update working papers, and post adjusting entries; review financial reports with trend analysis and cash runway.
• Stay up-to-date with accounting standards and crypto regulations for client compliance.
• Thoroughly review team members’ work and consider adjustments.
