Job summary

Maersk is seeking a skilled accounting professional in Manila to perform day-to-day accounting activities and deliver timely month-end close in line with deadlines. You will work with country teams and apply strong controls to ensure accuracy in financial statements and tax/audit deliverables.

You will coordinate with process owners, assist other teams on complex issues, and serve as a backup resource when needed. Night shift availability is required to align with regional operations.

Qualifications

• Strong accounting experience for month-end close and financial reporting.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Experience with JD Edwards is required.
• Willingness to work night shift to support regional operations.
• Knowledge of Blackline, OneStream and Oracle is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day accounting activities.
• Coordinate with country and other teams for information and action.
• Deliver timely financial close requirements by set deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with financial controls locally and globally.
• Complete deliverables within deadlines and respond to inquiries promptly.
• Highlight performance gaps and drive improvements with stakeholders.
• Use accounting knowledge to assist others on complex issues.
• Deliver tax and audit requirements on established deadlines.
• Proactively seek and implement process improvements.
• Serve as a backup resource when team members are absent.
• Perform monthly balance sheet review for in-scope entities regionally.
• Coordinate internal control attestation with control performers.
• Additional tasks as deemed necessary.
